Google AdSense and the economic crisis

The blog post is better explained, but in summary it is stated that Google has made a play that is probably the cause that AdSense earnings have almost halved.

 google adsense

Here is the fourth reason:

4. Google removed half of the offer and sent it to its own coffers.

… Google has secured that has begun to "do tests, whether these work or not", in places like Google News, Google Image Search and Youtube. With this, the only beneficiary is Google because it is the owner of those spaces.

It means then that Google has possibly taken half of the AdWords offer and sent it to these own sites leaving us scratching the kettle. His argument has been that he has done it to benefit advertisers although that benefits him more himself.

"Of course, these experiments benefit Google because they generate revenue from new sources - but by ensuring that we show the right ads at the right time to the right people, we'll add value for users too"

It's like you have 1,000 advertisers, who pay you $ 100 a month to place their ads on 1,000 taxis. Each taxi driver takes 100 dollars at the end of each month. So Google decides to remove 500 ads and place them on 500 of its own taxis, which would make each taxi driver now only have 50 and the experiment leaves him a modest amount of $ 50,000 in addition to what he already earned.

  1. I tried Widgetbucks, at first it was good but then they began to put t * nt * s, as they were staying with only certain countries and stopped paying per click.

As for Google, I don't think AdSense / AdWords will crash all at once, and if it did… surely another would emerge to fill that market. If Google fails, it would have to be like the end of the current bubble, for which it takes a lot. For now the problem is based on the fall of the bags and the North American recession.

  2. You are right. And this is the problem of putting all the resources in google ads.
It's been a long time since I've taken it off.
And if someday I win something will be despite google.
At least I will have avoided the censorship imposed by this North American sect in its Terms and Conditions.

And watch out for Widgetbucks, who is already fishing naive blogs again in Spanish and then does not pay. I know from experience. Do not even think of it.

  3. what could happen is that Google decides to stay with its spaces and the big sites leaving out those who collect 20 clicks per day arguing that advertisers want it

  4. Well if it is a fucking, in the end adsense will cease to exist because google will not need it because it will put all the announcements on its own pages and networks and as everyone uses the services offered by Google to fuck.
