Google's golden hands
It is surprising, Chrome is only a couple of days old, in beta version and in the statistics of my last 4 days it reaches 4.49% of the visitors of this blog. Very similar to that old story of a king who asked that everything he touched turn into gold, so Google pulls out a fucking browser, in fucking 43 languages, with the fucking Javascript V8 technology, with a fucking AdSense with ads everywhere ... yes, it is king Midas.
Surely life is unfair, since Opera barely reaches 0.53% although it has taken many years to get there and being a very stable tool.

What is unquestionable, is that although Google signed a commitment with Mozilla to support them for three more years, it will have to go above Firefox by inertia. One because the growth of Firefox was due to the impulse that Google gave it via AdWords until last August when it paid $ 1 to download it.
There is no doubt that the Mozilla project has come a long way, just a couple of months ago it managed to break the record for obtaining 8 million downloads in a single day. Although Google has snatched a quarter of it in just three days; which could assume that you already have 2 million users using Chrome.

As Five Days says, Chrome finally brings to reality the idea of "the network is the computer". Does not compete with Explorer, competes with Windows. There, and not in analyzing it as a simple browser, is where we must value its true importance.

I think if you look at Firefox as the Chrome target, you're missing the shot.
I have a few days with this idea rondadome: the real target is the Microsoft Office and intranets (even the very Windows), that is, the corporate user.
Chrome incorporates the latest Java V8 and Google Gears as an application server offline.
If you can do all your tasks from your browser, so you want the whole Office suite or better yet, so you want Windows installed ???
