Now, to install WordPress

In the previous post, we saw How to download and upload WordPress to our lodging. Now let's see how to install it.

1 To create the data base

Dream weaver ftp For this, in Cpanel, we select MySQL Databases. Here, we indicate the name of the database, in this case I will use Smokes and I press the create button. See how a message is displayed that says that a database has been created called Geo_fuma, This is because it adds to my Cpanel user the name of the new database created.

2 Create a user

Now, I select the base created, and I indicate that I want to create a new user. I'll call him blog And password, when pressing the create option, see as it indicates that a called user has been created Geo_blog With the indicated password, we will assume that it is called Tinmarin. I suggest that they point it out while we are doing this process, because later they can forget it.

3. Assign user rights

Now, I indicate that this user I will assign rights. I select the database Geo_fuma, the user Geo_blog And assign all rights to install and access from WordPress.

4 Rename the configuration file.

With the data that we uploaded, in the directory public_html Is a file called wp-config-sample.php, To this we publish the name, calling it wp-config.php

4 Edit the configuration

Now we edit this file, in the following zone:

/ / ** MySQL settings - You CAN get this info from your web host ** / /
/ ** The name of the database for WordPress * /
define ('DB_NAME', 'Putyourdbnamehere');

/ ** MySQL database username * /
define ('DB_USER', 'Usernamehere');

/ ** MySQL database password * /
define ('DB_PASSWORD', 'Yourpasswordhere');

See, it's not much, but here several times I've confused myself. The bold texts are the ones that must be modified:

The database is called Geo_Fuma

The user is called Geo_blog

The password, in this case Tinmarin (Of course these data are imaginary)

Then you have to record the file. If we edit it locally, it must be uploaded to the remote server.

5. Install

With just running the domain Geofumadas.com, I should see the panel that says everything is ready, enter the name of the blog and email to install.

Install-wordpress

Subsequently, the user and temporary password are received with which it can be accessed.

If a message exits that the database can not be accessed, the 4 step data is probably bad.

Wordpress-admin-pass

Once inside you have to change the autogenerated password for one of our preference. We must not forget that from the wp-admin folder we must delete the folder install.php, upgrade.php, and install-helper.php.
