innovationsMicrostation-Bentley

What Bentley brings in the Be Inspired

Just a few days from a long trip through London and then Amsterdam, let's take a look at what might impress us of the Danes that this time are put together as finalists.

The finalists in the theme Geospatial and Government

Government_geosite GeoSite, a Danish company will present a smoke using mobile connection, via web services that interacts in both ways. From the field, you can capture data, such as photographs and xfm attributes to send them via wireless to Microstation and from here respond as well. One of the best, which is an application with a municipal approach.

The 19 will be presented at 11 am.

Government_tvilum IT Developer, Also Danish, will show a development for cadastral use using standard Web Feature Service (WFS).

This if that looks interesting, considering that for this to work, they will have had to put the data in Geospatial Server via Idpr (hopefully and not via Project Wise). It would be the first applications on xfm exploiting this standard, and it is the way because until now, xfm continues to be a very particular thing about Bentley although it has been in existence for several years and supports the standard. Web Map Service had been seen as something very common, which in good Spanish is to show the map as an image and option to Review attribute; but WFS implies bringing the vector layer with its attribute table under the OGC standard that can recognize any other program such as ArcGIS, gvSIG, etc.

Both will do a half-hour presentation on October 19 between 11 and 12 noon. I guess your English will sound more like German, like in those Asterix en Germania books.  Tvilum Landinspektørfirma.

The other finalist is also Danish, competing with his 3D model on the fly. It seems they will not have an exhibition, but they will surely participate in the Thematic table.

In my opinion, the WFS takes the prize.
