Using the cadastre as a support for sustainable development

This is the subject of the document that was presented at TOPCART 2008 held in Valencia, Spain in February 2008. It was chosen on the FIG page as the document of the month in the last April.

cadastre It expresses the importance of the construction of land administration systems by the states under the primary focus of effectiveness in activating the land market. It is understood that this work includes actions in the field of cadastral survey, registry linkage and activation of systems that reflect both the use and the impact of private and public real estate.

The document gives a historical account of how the role of the cadastre in land administration has evolved as information technologies have developed but does not remain in technological thinking but also analyzes conceptual trends from their commercial implications , multifinal fiscal and even under the vision of the iland.

ilandIt is a pity that the document is not translated into Spanish, we suppose that someone will do it soon but it is valuable that they read and save it because it is very well worked. Credit goes to the creative efforts of members of the Department of Geomatics at the University of Melbourne in Australia and the Support Center for Spatial Data Infrastructures and Land Management.

imageThe presentation of graphics, which give greater richness to the work and become a good reference for those who are frequently invited to make presentations on the advances and perversions of the adoption of technologies in the cadastral field as well as the sustainability of the conceptual principles as the applicability becomes diversified.
